Our newest Seagull is seasoned stylist and colorist William Blair. A West Coast transplant, William brings a unique set of specialties to our NYC salon. While his versatility and skill with all kinds of cutting, styling, and hair color processes has earned him a diverse following, he also has a unique list of specialties. An expert in both classic men's clipper hair cuts (think high-end retro barber) and 1940's style roller sets, William has made Seagull Salon the NYC destination for vintage looks. His long-lasting screen siren waves bring devotees in like clockwork for glamourous styles in place of weekly blowouts, and of course he's a dream for a bridal updo, New York wedding-day hair or any special-event, styling. William also loves the challenge of custom red hair, a flawless ombré, and is trained in baylayage (hair painting) techniques that lend colored hair the most natural-looking dimension and brilliance. William's effervescent charm and extensive educational background with the Kevin Murphy line of hair care and styling products also makes him a fantastic teacher. He won't let you leave the salon without a primer on how to achieve and maintain your style at home.
